Dental bridges
When one or more teeth are missing, a fixed bridge is placed in their stead. It restores aesthetics, speech and chewing function.
Types of bridges by material
- metal or gold with a resin facing;
- porcelain-fused-to-metal;
- ceramic restorations on zirconium oxide;
- acrylic – a temporary solution until the permanent bridge is fixed.
In modern dentistry bridges are also placed on titanium implants.
