Oral surgery
Surgical dentistry is used when removing the tooth is the only way to treat it.
Conservative treatment is often impossible. A tooth may become a source of inflammation or infection, the cause of an abscess or phlegmon, and may even damage the heart, kidneys or joints. The dentist then has no choice – such a tooth is a serious threat to the patient’s health.
The good news: at Dr Dimova Dental Clinic all procedures are carried out with modern anaesthetics and “needle-free” methods – no more pain when your teeth are treated!
What oral surgery deals with
- diseases of the teeth and the surrounding tissues;
- diseases of the tooth-supporting apparatus;
- preparing the jaws and the oral cavity for dentures;
- cysts of the teeth and jaws;
- small tumours;
- communications between the oral cavity and the maxillary sinuses;
- autotransplantation of teeth;
- some stages of orthodontic treatment.
