Porcelain veneers
One of the ways to make your teeth look more beautiful and natural. If they are badly stained, worn or abraded, this solution is for you.
Porcelain veneers are very thin “shells” – 2–3 mm. Their advantage is that the teeth are filed down only minimally (0.5–0.8 mm). The veneers are made in a dental laboratory from an impression and at the next visit are bonded with dual-cure cement to the front surface of the front teeth.
These are porcelain restorations for cosmetic corrections of:
- diastemas – gaps between the teeth;
- teeth discoloured after root canal treatment or teeth with stains;
- displaced teeth – out of line with the dental arch;
- defects in the dental arch.
Veneers close the gaps between the teeth, and rotated teeth look straight and even. Porcelain veneers are more durable and resistant than light-cured composite restorations.
How we work
Veneers are placed in two visits.
- Under anaesthetic the teeth are filed down by 0.5–1 mm and an impression is taken. The desired shade is chosen and temporary restorations are placed until the next visit.
- The laboratory makes the veneers so that they fit the tooth perfectly. At the second visit we bond them and you leave the clinic with a more beautiful smile.
A few porcelain veneers on the front teeth will give you an amazing, dazzling smile.
